Fall in New York brings so much to love – crisp blue skies and sunlight on golden leaves, warty gourds and carved pumpkins on every other brownstone stoop, 15 kinds of apple at the farmers market, wafting smells of cinnamon baked treats, Halloween decorations springing up everywhere. Halloween brings its own pleasures – and the only thing better than planning your own costume is the annual procession of dressed up pups at the Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade.
